Invisalign For Kids

At Premier Orthodontics, we believe every child deserves a confident, attractive smile, which is why we’re proud to offer Invisalign First — a groundbreaking approach to early orthodontic treatment designed specifically for younger patients.

Invisalign First brings the benefits of Invisalign’s clear aligner technology to Phase One treatment, targeting orthodontic issues while your child’s teeth and jaw are still developing. These removable aligners make eating, brushing, and flossing easy, while their virtually invisible design ensures your child can smile confidently throughout treatment.

By addressing orthodontic concerns early, Invisalign First helps guide jaw growth and allows permanent teeth to come in straighter, potentially reducing the need for more complex treatments, like extractions, in the future. Once most permanent teeth have erupted, we transition to Phase Two—either with a full set of Invisalign aligners or braces— to perfect the alignment and bite, often shortening the overall treatment time.

At Premier Orthodontics, our team is dedicated to delivering personalized care in a welcoming environment, using the latest technology to ensure your child’s treatment is comfortable and effective. With Invisalign First, we’re helping children build the foundation for a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles.

Invisalign FAQ

What is Invisalign First?

Invisalign First is a specialized clear aligner treatment designed specifically for younger children who are in Phase One of orthodontic care, typically between the ages of 6 and 10. Unlike traditional Invisalign, which is aimed at teens and adults with fully erupted permanent teeth, Invisalign First is crafted to address early orthodontic issues such as crowding, spacing, and narrow dental arches while the child’s jaw is still growing and developing.

This proactive approach helps guide the growth of the jaw and supports the proper alignment of incoming permanent teeth, potentially preventing more complex orthodontic issues later. Like regular Invisalign, Invisalign First aligners are clear, removable, and comfortable, allowing children to maintain good oral hygiene and eat normally while undergoing treatment.

Is Invisalign as effective as braces for kids?

Parents often wonder if Invisalign is as effective as traditional braces for their child’s orthodontic treatment. Invisalign can successfully treat many of the same issues, such as crowding, gaps, and bite problems, but the best treatment depends on the complexity of the case. Your orthodontist will help determine the right option for your child.

How long will my child need to wear Invisalign aligners?

The duration of treatment varies depending on the severity of the orthodontic issue, but on average, Invisalign treatment for children can last between 12 and 18 months. Regular wear (at least 22 hours per day) is key to completing treatment on time.
